| A bottle tree stands proudly in a field of tall grass. Bottle trees are a characteristic feature of the landscape in the Maranoa Shire. For my first week of shooting, the sky was clear and the weather warm. Substantial rainfall in the shire only weeks before had caused minor flooding at the time and had left the landscape looking lush. Grass was plentiful and dams and creeks were still full.
